Pace control at its finest this morning 👌😎
After rather low mileage over the weekend, I decided to start this week with a long run in the rain! 🏃🏻♂️💦
15 miles done, breaking it down to 3 x 5 mile progressive blocks focusing on discipline and consistency 👊
7:20 / 7:00 / 6:40 / 6:20 / 6:00 x 3 🔥
With there still being nearly 700ft elevation, this meant I had to work hard to maintain the pace on some of the climbs but that made the run even more enjoyable!
With no events planned now till the big one, it’s time to put those all important final sessions in now over the next few weeks to get me as ready as I can be for manchestermarathon 💪

Midweek manchestermarathon big training run 🏃🏻♂️💥
Absolutely lousy weather today, but that didn’t stop me getting out for 21 wet and windy miles to continue the marathon block 👊
Going through the first 10 miles keeping sarahhoward93 company, helping pace her on some of her own marathon training 🙌 before heading off down the Swansea promenade and along the coastal path for 11 more miles solo!
Hitting Langland Corner climb at 17 miles was not pleasant 😫🏔️ but it made me dig deep and work that little bit harder in the latter stages of my run!
It was a pleasant sight to meet my wife down Mumbles at the end of the run with baby Oliver, where we headed for a delicious pizza down thelighthouse_swansea 😋🍕
A good chance to test out another one of my new provizsports waterproof jackets today which was brilliant even on the long distance and in dreadful conditions 🙌

Bit blowy out there today! Amazing how the wind always seems to come right at you, even when you’re doing a loop.
