Week 96 training with mileswithmarcus ending with the mediomaratonmadrid ☺️ Easier week as tapering for today’s race. Running with naomifenne made it a great experience (even with those inclines, the last km is just cruel 😂)! I think we could be recruited as an official cheering squad as we went back and encouraged others over the line (which is almost as rewarding as when you finish yourself)! 🤩 Great run by vladruns today too ⚡️~ must be those bright trainers 😎😝 Catching sight of a lady unwell (non-runner) at around the 15km mark was a reminder of what’s important on these days… as there were 4 people around her (and she was conscious) I ran on, but it left me thinking about how I’d feel stopping if I’d been on course for smashing a PB (I’m happy with my sub 2 today 👍) Had she been alone, I know I would have stopped but the fact I thought about how I’d feel just shows you how much we invest in our running.
