The Topeak BackLoader has been created for the adventurer. Specifically designed for bikepackers, the BackLoader offers a streamlined way to carry gear without the need for a rear rack.

The BackLoader mounts and removes quickly, and is constructed of lightweight, highly water resistant and durable materials. Product is really good. The only thing I wasn't aware of until I purchased it as the information was on the product packaging is that there should be 9cm clearance between the bottom of the bag and the top of the rear wheel. This may not suit the shorter rider whose seat post isn't raised sufficiently high enough. I have 5cm clearance and the bag looks OK and not rubbing on the rear tyre. I read a review elsewhere that they had 3cm clearance and no rub on when on a week's touring ride so I'm hoping it will be fine on my bike.

Perfect size.
My (male) partner and fellow cyclist scoffed at me, when I said I had ordered it.
'It'll be too big' he said. 'It'll swing about' he said.
Now guess who was eyeing it up for his own bike on arrival?
6 Litre (about 2 large cartons of milk if fully packed) is just brilliant.

Used for the first time this last weekend and very impressed. The inner bag with its air valve means that the bag doesn't contain surplus air, thus enhancing the carrying capability. Robust clips and velcro strap attach the bag to the bike.
When standing on the pedals for the first time for a steep climb I was aware of the bulk (10 litre version) behind although the bag didn't swing much. I am sure that with repeated use I will quickly become accustomed to this.
Not exposed to wet weather yet although the manner of its construction, combined with the waterproof inner bag, suggest that the contents should stay dry.
Being able to leave the outer bag attached to the bag whilst removing the inner is a definite plus.
Very pleased with this purchase.

I tested the bag with a few items and a short ride upon receipt. It was easy to load and fit to my bike and I wasn't aware of it during my ride. It dud not make my bike unstable. I purchased this size because the volume is ideal for a 3 day ride that I am doing in early June.
The quality is excellent and it is extremely well made.
PS. Not my normal cycling wear
