The Zipp 454 NSW Tubeless Disc-brake is engineered for road racing performance. Its undulating 58mm ABLC SawTooth rim with Hyperfoils combines high aerodynamic efficiency with cross-wind stability. A wider hookless rim is optimised for tubeless tyres run at lower pressures to reduce rolling resistance and vibration, helping you conserve energy on the road. For the best balance of aero and rolling resistance, use a 28mm tyre.Aerodynamics and ride qualityThe SawTooth rim profile and Hyperfoils deliver low drag and predictable handling in varying wind conditions. The 23mm internal rim width accommodates modern tubeless tyres, which, when run at reduced pressures, improve rolling resistance and vibration damping.Hookless rim constructionZipp’s hookless (straight side) carbon rim creates a smoother tyre–rim transition for improved aerodynamics. Hookless construction also allows more efficient resin distribution, resulting in lighter, stronger rims.Hub, engagement and bearingsThis rear wheel features the premium ZR1 SL hubset with cartridge ceramic bearings and 66 points of engagement (POE). The hubset is 30 g lighter than the previous NSW hub and uses a 6-pawl compression driver mechanism.
