In short: you go faster, and you feel it.How the design serves the rideDT Swiss worked with Swiss Side’s aero team and put the rim through extensive wind-tunnel testing. The result is a proprietary carbon rim with a unique hybrid V-shape. It has a 22 mm internal width optimised for 28–30 mm tyres. That shape lets the rims sit deeper while improving crosswind stability compared with shallower designs. You get more aerodynamic benefit without the nervous steering that deeper wheels can bring.Despite being both wider and deeper, the new ARC 1400's shave up to 125 g per pair off the previous generation. That reduced weight feels livelier on accelerations and climbs, without compromising aero performance.Smooth, durable hubs and build qualityAt the centre are DT’s 240 hubs with the Patented Ratchet EXP drive system. They’re light, reliable and easy to service. The build uses Swiss-made T-head Aero Comp spokes and DT pro-lock hidden nipples, hand built in Europe for long-term stability and neat aero lines. The rear wheel ships with both Shimano HG Road and SRAM XDR freehubs included.Fit and everyday useThe rear is set up for 12 x 142 mm thru axles. The wheels come tubeless ready with rim tape and lightweight valves included. Maximum recommended system weight is 110 kg. They’re made for road, time trial and triathlon use, 700c diameter, carbon clincher rims with a rim depth over 60 mm and rim width 20–22 mm.
