Wider rims stabilise a 28–30 mm tyre. The deeper profile keeps aero gains without feeling twitchy in crosswinds. The result is speed that feels secure, not nervous. You notice it the moment you accelerate: a cleaner push, quieter rolling, steadier steering.Aerodynamics and handlingDT and Swiss Side shaped the rim with wind-tunnel testing at GST. The hybrid V-shape and 22 mm internal width are tuned for modern tyres. You get aero benefits from the deeper rim and better crosswind stability than the previous, shallower version. It rides fast and predictable.Build and finishMade in DT’s European facility. The carbon lay-up is refined and pulled out of the mould with a ready-to-ride finish—no cosmetic veneer needed. Each rim is scanned internally so every carbon layer checks out before assembly. That attention trims up to 158 g per pair compared with the prior generation, while still being wider and deeper.Hubs, spokes and bearingsThe DICUT 180s hubs use the 36-tooth Ratchet EXP and SiNC ceramic bearings. They’re low drag, light, and straightforward to service. DT’s Aerolite II spokes reduce rotational drag as part of their ongoing research into real-world performance.Ready to rideThese come as a WTS system with Continental Aero 111 on the front and GP 5000 STR on the rear. You also get high-performance TPU tubes, tubeless rim tape, lightweight tubeless valves and wheel bags. Rear wheels include both Shimano HG Road and SRAM XDR freehubs.
