TRP Slate EVO — Mountain bike hydraulic brakeA downhill-proven hydraulic brake system developed alongside World Cup champion Aaron Gwin and refined on the World Cup circuit. The Slate EVO transfers many of the performance improvements from TRP’s DH-R EVO into a trail-ready package, combining durable construction, refined ergonomics and improved hydraulic transfer for predictable stopping power.Development backgroundTRP began working with Aaron Gwin in 2016. Testing and rider feedback led to widespread changes across the brake’s components during a World Cup season; several of those upgrades were adapted for the Slate trail brake.Design and constructionThe Slate EVO pairs an ergonomic cast-aluminium lever with a forged/CNC’d caliper, both finished in matte black. A stiffer 5.0 mm hose improves hydraulic transfer and simplifies internal routing.
