With its carbon fibre shell, the D4 Carbon is the toughest iteration of TLD's strongest, full-face helmet, made to absorb the impact of both high and low speed crashes with ease. The carbon uses straighter fibres than those found in standard carbon, which results in a thinner laminate that reduces weight, while achieving a greater rigidness, increased strength and improved impact tolerance.The helmet also incorporates Mips®, to negate rotational impact on the brain in the event of an accident, a breakaway visor to reduce the risk of neck injury and removable cheek pads, to allow the helmet to be taken off at speed when needed.A soft, wicking, washable and removable liner and efficient ventilation channels, meanwhile, help to keep the helmet clean and pleasant to wear.
