Product Description
Ride with more confidenceThe Maxxis Assegai is built for riders who want a tyre that digs in and stays composed when the trail turns rough. It helps you push harder through loose ground, wet roots and rocky turns, with the grip and support you want when the descent gets serious.Signature designThis is Greg Minnaar’s signature tyre, bringing together ideas from legendary Maxxis treads including the Minion DHR II, High Roller and Shorty. The tall knobs are designed to punch through dust and loam to find traction, while still giving support and confidence on wet roots and rocks.Key Features:World Cup Champion Greg Minnaar’s signature tyreBest for Loose, Loose/Hard, Medium and Wet conditions3C MaxxGrip Compound Technology for maximum gripNew DH/Downhill Casing for improved compliance and supportTubeless TyreFolding bead120x2 TPIWeight: 1525gSize: 29 x 2.5 inchesETRTO: 63-622Max PSI: 60Built for hard chargingThe New DH Casing is made to feel more settled over chattery rocks and roots. It also gives better support under hard cornering and impacts, with added durability for long, demanding runs. That means more confidence in technical sections, less chance of tyre or rim failure, and a ride that feels less beaten up by the time you reach the bottom.Soft compound grip3C MaxxGrip uses the softest rubber compounds in the range. The result is strong traction and a slower rebound feel, which suits downhill riding where grip matters most.Tubeless readyThe tubeless-ready downhill construction is designed to help save weight and improve reliability. The familiar dual-ply downhill build and butyl insert add support and rim protection, while the folding bead helps keep weight down and locks securely to the rim.SpecificationDiscipline: MTBColour: BlackSize: 29 x 2.5 inchesBead Type: FoldingCasing: DH DownhillETRTO: 63-622Model: MinionPuncture Protection: Yes
