Product Description
Feel the confidence in the cornerThis tyre makes turns feel simple. It plants, it responds, and it holds when the trail gets hard and fast. You ride later into the corner. You carry speed out. The Dissector gives you a steadier, more predictable line so you can focus on flow and fun.Why it gripsMaxxis redesigned the side knobs with a bigger footprint and new sipes. That means the tyre bites earlier and resists folding under load. You get firmer edge support and a planted feel through corners. The centre tread keeps the 2-3-2 layout, but the middle 3 is split into individual knobs. Braking feels sharper. The tyre conforms better to rough ground. Transition knobs sit further out, so the lean-in is smoother and more consistent. How it ridesShort, mid-travel trail bikes get a confident front tyre. On 130–140mm forks it shines, especially paired with a fast-rolling rear like a Forekaster or Rekon. On bikes with 150mm+ travel it also makes a quick, sure-footed rear option in dry conditions. Revised sipes across the tread improve grip and help the tyre last longer. It rolls fast, grips when you need it, and stays composed when you push.Key Features:Redesigned side knobs with larger footprint and reworked sipes for better corner stability and predictabilitySplit centre 3 knob for improved braking traction and terrain conformityTransition knobs pushed outward for smoother lean and consistent feelNew MaxxTerra compound: increased durability and traction with no loss in rolling efficiency (30% durability, 15% traction)DoubleDown (DD) casing: two 120 TPI layers with butyl insert for enduro-level support and protectionTubeless Ready folding bead for lower pressures and reduced flatsBest suited for dry, hard, loose/hard and medium conditions; versatile for front or rear use depending on travelSpecificationModel: The SurgeonCompound: New 3C MaxxTerraBreaker: Double Down (DD)Bead Type: FoldingTubeless: Tubeless Ready tyreTPI: 2x120Max PSI: 40Weight: 1207 gSize: 29 x 2.4 inchesBest for: Dry, Hard, Loose/Hard, MediumCornering Control: 3 / 4Rolling Efficiency: 3 / 4Ride with more confidence.
