The combination of oversized 47mm upper tubes and a massive, generatively-designed crown creates a chassis so stiff, it approaches the performance of the FOX 40. You can charge through the roughest, steepest trails at full Downhill race speed with total confidence.LARGE DIAMETER AXLEHistorically, inverted forks have lacked torsional (steering) stiffness due to the absence of an arch connecting the fork legs. To solve this, we reinforced other areas:The oversized crown handles the upper end.At the lower end, we added stiffness by using a custom 20 x 110mm Boost DH steel axle, instead of a standard 15 x 110mm alloy axle.This setup achieves optimal torsional stiffness, verified through extensive and blind testing by both engineers and athletes.Although fore-aft and torsional stiffness can be measured independently, real-world riding blends these forces. The Podium’s higher fore-aft rigidity translates to a much more stable, responsive ride—exactly what aggressive riders demand.ALL THE BUSHING OVERLAPBushings are Teflon-lined sleeves that allow smooth interaction between a fork’s upper and lower legs. Each leg contains two bushings, and “bushing overlap” refers to the vertical distance between them.Thanks to its inverted chassis, Podium delivers an enormous 175mm of bushing overlap:32% more than the FOX 387% more than the 200mm-travel FOX 40This not only enhances fore-aft rigidity but also ensures minimal chassis friction, even under the harshest trail conditions and highest bending loads.GLIDECORE AIR SPRINGWhen a fork hits an obstacle at speed, the resulting bending load can cause the air spring to bind against the stanchion.Our GlideCore air spring features lateral compliance, meaning it flexes with the fork under stress.
