Clean the rim. Dry it.Fit fresh rim tape. Line it up opposite the valve hole and press it down as you go. Overlap the finish by 10–15cm. Smooth out air pockets with your thumb.Pierce the tape at the valve location with a small pin. Insert the tubeless valve, choose the right rubber fitment, then refit the O-ring and lock ring. Don’t overtighten.Refit the tyre carefully (avoid tyre levers that can damage the tape). Inflate until the tyre seats—you should hear popping around the rim.Release air and remove the valve core using the spare valve cap. Shake the sealant pouch. Unscrew the cap and attach the pouch upright to the valve.Turn the wheel so the pouch is upside down and squeeze to inject the sealant. Spin the wheel back, remove the pouch, refit the valve core and inflate to riding pressure.When filling brand-new tyres, degrease the inside surface to remove mould-release residues. For best results use Quick Drying Degreaser, Disc Brake Cleaner or Glue and Sealant Remover and a clean cloth.Ready to stop chasing flats and get back to the line?
