Clean and dry the rim.Line up the new rim tape from the opposite side of the valve. Unwind a small amount. Press it down with your thumb to start.Pull the tape tight and stick it down around the rim. If the rim has a deep channel, pull and wiggle the tape to fill edges.Overlap the tape by roughly 10–15 cm. Leave a small tail and cut the excess. Press the tail down to seal. Run your thumb around the rim to remove air pockets.Use a small pin to pierce the tape at the valve hole.Remove the valve lock ring and O-ring from the valve. Choose the correct rubber base and insert the valve into the rim. Refit the O-ring and lock ring. Do not overtighten.Refit your tyre carefully. Avoid tools that could damage the tape. Inflate until the bead seats — you should hear popping around the rim.Release the air and remove the valve core using the valve core tool.Shake a sealant pouch, fit it to the valve cap, invert the wheel and squeeze the sealant in by rolling the pouch down.Spin the wheel upright, remove the pouch, reinsert the valve core and inflate to your chosen pressure.You’re set.
