Clean and dry the rim.Start the tape from the opposite side of the valve hole.Unwind a little tape and press it down with your thumb to hold it.Continue around the rim. Pull and wiggle the tape to fill any concave edges.Overlap by 10–15 cm. Cut the tape, then press down and smooth to seal.Run your thumb around the tape to remove air pockets.Use a small pin to cleanly pierce the valve hole.Remove the valve lock ring and O-ring. Choose the right rubber base and insert the valve.Refit the O-ring and lock ring. Tighten enough to seal, but don’t overtighten.Mount your tyre carefully — avoid damaging the tape with levers.Inflate the tyre. You should hear popping as the tyre beads seat.Release air and remove the valve core using the valve core tool.Shake a sealant pouch, fit it to the valve upright, then invert the wheel and squeeze the sealant in.Spin the wheel back upright, remove the pouch, reinsert the valve core and inflate to your pressure.Ride-ready confidenceThis kit keeps the set-up simple and sensible.
