Clean the rim thoroughly.Make sure the rim is dry before you start.Line the tape up from the opposite side of the valve. Unwind a little and press it down with your thumb.Pull the tape tight as you go. Keep pressure until it sticks. Work around the rim. Wiggle the tape into any concave edges.Overlap the tape by 10–15 cm. Leave a small tail to cut cleanly. Press the tape down and run your thumb around the rim to remove air pockets.Use a small pin to locate and pierce the valve hole cleanly.Remove the lock ring and O-ring from the valve. Choose the right rubber base and insert the valve. Refit the O-ring and lock ring. Tighten enough to seat the valve but don’t over-torque.Refit your tyre carefully. Inflate to seat the tyre — you should hear pops as it seals to the rim.Release the air and remove the valve core using the valve core tool. Shake the sealant pouch, fit it to the valve, invert the wheel and squeeze the sealant in.Spin the wheel upright, remove the pouch, reinsert the valve core and inflate to your chosen pressure.Ready to ride. Fit it, pump it, and go find the line.
