The Kinesis 4S Apex road bike is designed for cyclists who value simplicity, reliability, and the advantages of a 1x drivetrain. The 1x gearing system offers ease of use and maintenance, making it perfect for riders looking for a hassle-free and enjoyable biking experience. As mountain bikes and cyclocross bikes have embraced 1x gearing, and with gravel biking following suit, many road cyclists have started to explore and adopt simpler 1x road setups. Drawing inspiration from the success of the G2 complete gravel bike and influenced by the award-winning Kinesis RTD and GTD road frames, the 4S Apex is tailored to cater to riders of all skill levels and experiences. The 4S Apex is an ideal everyday road bike, suitable for commuting, unhurried rides in the countryside, and visits to faraway cafes for that perfect coffee-stop. Equipped with versatile gear ratios, it can handle steep climbs and rapid descents with ease. The 4S comes with slightly wider handlebars featuring a 10-degree flare, providing enhanced control and the capability to accommodate bar bags, which have become increasingly popular even on day rides. Additionally, the bike comes ready to ride with mudguards already fitted, making it perfect for all seasons. The 4S Apex incorporates Kinesis Rider Fit Geometry, ensuring better fit and consistent handling for a wider range of riders. The smallest size features a semi-sloping top tube for increased seat post extension, enhancing comfort. Longer reaches, recommended for use with shorter stems, reduce toe overlap on smaller sizes and enhance handling on larger sizes, eliminating the need for excessively long stems to achieve the correct fit. Frame a" Lightweight double butted 6061 Alloy tube blend that delivers a light and responsive ride feel. Fork a" Custom full 'UD carbon' fork keeps weight low and takes out road buzz whilst feeling direct and accurate at all times. Groupset a" Full SRAM Apex 11 speed groupset. Brakes a" Hydraulic SRAM Apex disc brakes are brilliantly reliable and handle the stopping duties with minimum effort. Tyres a" Maxxis Pursuer 32c, hitting the sweet spot for grip, cornering and low rolling resistance. Additional Info_ If ordered online, the 4S Apex bike will be delivered 95% built. The rotor will need fitting to front wheel (rotor is boxed between the front wheel and frame, and the lockring is in the spares/manuals box). The front wheel needs fitting. Youa™ll need to align the front brake. Handlebars need fitting to the stem (the stem comes fitted with a positive rise, and all 3x10mm spacers under the stem). Seatpost needs fitting (saddle attached to post). The pedal washers are tied to the crank arms. The Kinesis 4S Apex bike has been checked prior to packing, however before your first ride the bike must have a PDI (Pre Delivery Inspection) by an authorised Kinesis Dealer.
