Our brand-new Kinesis 4S frameset is a thoroughly modern aluminium road frameset designed for those who seek a balance between speed and adventure and a traditional silhouette. We've taken our acclaimed Kinesis R1 frameset and worked hard to improve every detail to improve every ride. The all-new 4S frameset features the same proven frame and fork as our highly praised, group test-winning R1 bike which Cycling Plus magazine proclaimed had "Understated class and excellent ride quality" and BikeRadar.com said had “instant zing when pressing the pedals". The lightweight double-butted premium 6061 aluminium tube blend provides a responsive ride feel, and the impeccable weld quality and attention to detail ensure high standards. Additionally, the internal down tube cable routing keeps the bike clean and easy to service. The custom full UD carbon fork reduces road buzz and offers precise handling, while the Kinesis Rider Fit Geometry ensures comfortable all-day rides. With four sizes to choose from, finding the perfect bike fit is made simple. Features Lightweight Frame — Lightweight double-butted 6061 aluminium tube blend that delivers a light and responsive ride feel. Full Carbon Fork — Custom full UD carbon fork keeps weight low and takes out road buzz whilst feeling direct and accurate at all times. Evolution in design – Two decades of frameset design have taught us to never stand still and question everything we see and do, to make a better product for riders – what worked ten years ago may not be suitable for today's rider, so we are constantly evolving. The perfect fit – This has led us to our new Kinesis Rider Fit Design process, a semi-sloping frame on the smallest bike, which has not only reduced the stand-over height but has also brought comfort in line with our larger models. Since our early days we have had an enviable reputation among cyclists for stocking a massive range of cycling equipment and offering it at great prices. Merlin Cycles was initially a mail order business started in June 1993 by John Moss in the spare bedroom of his house in Whittle Le Woods near Chorley. A few months later the company opened a shop premises in Ormskirk, Lancashire. In 1998 Merlin Cycles moved to larger shop premises in Leyland.
