Converting from a Shimano 12-speed Micro Spline drivetrain? The supplied CS-LG700-11 cassette uses a conventional Shimano HG freehub fitting. If the existing 12-speed cassette is fitted to a Micro Spline freehub, the rear wheel will require a compatible Shimano HG freehub body before this kit can be installed. Important for Shimano 12-speed conversions_ Shimano 12-speed MTB cassettes commonly use a Micro Spline freehub body, whereas the CS-LG700-11 LINKGLIDE cassette supplied with this kit uses a Shimano HG freehub body. When converting a Micro Spline-equipped wheel, the existing freehub body must therefore be replaced with a compatible Shimano HG freehub body. Freehub bodies are hub-specific, so compatibility with the existing rear hub must be checked before ordering. If the wheel manufacturer does not offer a compatible HG replacement freehub body for the existing hub, a different rear wheel or hub may be required to complete the conversion.
