The GRVL is an performance-optimized wheelset with mid-height rim for longer rides on varied terrain. New in 2024, the COAST GRVL wheelset is coupled with the new straight pull thru axle hub with a 4 pawl drive system giving 7.5 degree engagement and centre-lock disc brake mount. The straight-pull hub makes the complete wheelset optimal for Power Transfer. The bearings are Japanese EZO, proven quality bearings for reliability and longevity. The rim is Tubeless Ready with a raised rim bed, but maintains a deeper gusset to allow easier tyre installation. The GRVL 30 rim is a carbon aero, disc brake only type rim with a 30mm profile providing good aerodynamics and great strength. Hub Type_ The lightweight yet strong straight pull hub uses a 4-pawl drive system giving 7.5 degree engagement for almost instantaneous pick-up for maximum Power Transfer. Rim_ 30mm Carbon, Hooked / Crotchet tubeless TC. The rim is "tubeless ready", with a higher rim bed, allowing easier first inflation with tubeless setups, but a deeper gusset to make it easier to get the bead over the rim. Spokes_ Black Aero bladed butted spokes using the finest Swedish stainless steel from Sandvik. Coast wheelsets are 100% hand built.
