Product Description
GripGrab AquaShield 2 Waterproof Road Cycling Shoe CoversThe GripGrab AquaShield 2 Waterproof Road Cycling Shoe Covers are close-fitting waterproof overshoes designed to protect road cycling shoes from rain and road spray. Evolved from the original AquaShield, this second-generation design combines a stronger construction with improved ease of use, while retaining the streamlined fit needed for performance road cycling.A combination of PU-coated polyester and waterproof neoprene provides flexible weather protection, while a zipperless anatomical design helps create a close and comfortable fit. GripGrab IntelliSeal technology around the base, a secure hook-and-loop closure and a reinforced rubber toe add protection and durability for regular wet-weather riding.Key SpecificationsWaterproof road cycling shoe coversPU-coated polyester and waterproof neoprene constructionZipperless anatomical designIntelliSeal silicone edge around the baseHook-and-loop sole closureOpening designed for large road cleatsProtective rubber toe insertClose-fitting stretch constructionDesigned specifically for road cycling shoesRecommended for approximately 5-20 C depending on conditionsWaterproof ProtectionThe AquaShield 2 combines PU-coated polyester with waterproof neoprene to create a flexible barrier against rain and road spray. Its anatomical cut and stretchy construction allow the material to sit closely around the shoe and lower leg, helping provide effective wet-weather protection without unnecessary bulk.IntelliSeal TechnologyThe neoprene base features an IntelliSeal silicone edge designed to create a closer seal around the underside of the shoe and help reduce water ingress. The opening is specifically shaped to accommodate large road cycling cleats, while a hook-and-loop strap secures the cover beneath the shoe.Zipperless DesignThe zipperless construction provides a smooth, close fit and removes the need for a conventional rear zip. The shoe covers are designed to be pulled onto your legs before putting on your cycling shoes. Once your shoes are fastened, pull the covers down and stretch them over the shoes before securing the hook-and-loop closure underneath the sole. For the intended fit and protection, position the upper cuff just underneath the calf muscle.Reinforced Toe ProtectionA rubber insert at the toe provides additional protection against wear and damage when stopping or walking. Combined with the strengthened construction, this helps improve durability for regular use through wet riding conditions.Road Cycling FitThe AquaShield 2 is designed exclusively for road cycling shoes and is not suitable for flat pedal, gravel or mountain bike footwear. It is best suited to road shoes using laces or dial closures, while shoes with sharp ratchet-style closures should be avoided.Warmth and ConditionsThese shoe covers are primarily designed for waterproof protection rather than deep winter insulation. GripGrab recommends them for approximately 5-20 C, although comfort will vary depending on riding intensity, weather conditions and individual sensitivity to the cold. Riders looking for greater protection in colder winter conditions may prefer a more heavily insulated shoe cover.Who It's ForThe GripGrab AquaShield 2 Waterproof Road Cycling Shoe Covers are for road cyclists looking for streamlined waterproof protection during wet training rides, racing and changeable conditions. Their close-fitting zipperless design, waterproof materials, IntelliSeal technology and reinforced toe make them particularly suited to riders who want reliable rain protection without the bulk of a heavily insulated winter overshoe.
