Product Description
Orbea Kimu 20 H20 Kids BikeThe Orbea Kimu 20 H20 is built for young riders who are ready to move beyond the basics and start developing real cycling skill. Designed for ages 5 to 8, it blends lightweight construction, kid specific ergonomics and stable handling with an 8 speed drivetrain that encourages confidence on varied terrain. As part of the Kimu Development range, it carries forward Orbea's focus on durability, adaptability and a low bike to rider weight ratio, helping children progress smoothly as their abilities grow.Key FeaturesOrbea Kimu 20 frame and alloy Kimu forkAlloy crankset, 28t, 115mmMTB alloy handlebar, 580mm width, with custom stem and +15mm spacerMicroshift M6185 8 speed shifterClarks M2 hydraulic disc brakes with kid specific leversKMC X8 chain and Microshift 11-38t cassetteWH 2.0 alloy wheels, 20in, 36HKenda Booster 20x2.20in tyresAlloy 27.2x270mm seatpost and SD 0.3 saddleVP 229 pedals with reflectorsOrbea custom fork mudguardBuilt for the Development StageKimu 20 H20 sits at the heart of the Development category, where children begin to ride further, explore new terrain and learn to use gears. Every component is chosen to support this stage: short cranks for natural pedalling, grips and saddles sized for smaller riders, and short throw shifters that make gear changes intuitive. Hydraulic disc brakes ensure consistent, low effort stopping power, giving young riders the control they need as speeds increase.Lightweight and Easy to HandleA low bike to rider weight ratio is essential for confidence. The alloy frame, alloy fork and carefully selected components keep the Kimu 20 H20 light and responsive, making it easier for kids to manoeuvre, climb and maintain momentum. Internal cable routing and dedicated protectors keep the bike quiet and well protected through everyday use.Big Wheel StabilityFollowing the Big Wheel concept used across the Kimu Development range, the 20in wheels are proportionally larger for this age group. The increased diameter improves stability, traction and rollover, helping young riders maintain speed smoothly and encouraging skill development on more technical surfaces.Designed to GrowA unique, growth adjustable stem ensures the bike continues to fit as the rider gets taller, extending its usable lifespan. The short rear derailleur remains tucked away and protected, reducing the risk of impact while still offering the range needed for varied terrain.Personalisation IncludedKimu 20 H20 comes with interchangeable protectors featuring dedicated designs, plus stickers and a name plate so kids can make the bike their own. It's a small detail that helps build a personal connection with the bike that will carry them through their next stage of riding.
