Compared to most fat bike rims, ENVE has given the M685 a deeper cross section and steeper sidewall angles to better shed mud and snow, which keeps weight low whatever terrain you're tackling. owever, the M685 does share the Wide Hookless Bead of the other M6 rims, a patented design for the rim's teardrop-shaped leading edge. When combined with the rim's overall cross section, the design helps dissipate impact force and reduces the chance of pinch flats by over 50%. n a first for ENVE, the M685 features asymmetric moulded spoke holes designed to accommodate the wide bracing angle created by fat bike hub spacing.
