SLX - for those who listen to the call of the mountain bike - Like the DEORE XT, the new SLX M7100 also features Shimano innovations such as the innovative 12v cassette with MICRO SPLINE system with 10-45 or 10-51 developments, connecting rods 1x12 or 2x12, a 12v chain specific to the SLX, 2 or 4 piston disc brakes, fully adjustable ISPEC-EV controls, bushings, derailleur and rear derailleur optimized for 12v, bringing premium technologies closer to those who discover authentic cycling of Mountain.- Crankset: the new SLX 1x12 cranks use HOLLOWTECH II technology, with the integrated lower shaft and hollow arm. The plates are equipped with the Dynamic Chain Engagement + tooth profile, with the narrow / wide tooth system, which better retains the chain and facilitates a smoother and quieter transmission. To facilitate a fast and safe plate change, use the Direct Mount system. The crank system can be found with 30T, 32T or 34T plates, interchangeable with the XTR or DEORE XT plates, as well as in connecting rod lengths of 165 mm, 170 mm and 175 mm. - The SLX M7100 cranksets are available in 3 chain lines: - 52 mm (FC-M7100-1) for OLD measurement of 142 mm or 148 mm to achieve a narrow Q-factor of 172 mm- 55 mm (FC-M7120-1) for 148 mm OLD measurement to achieve a better wheel pitch (178 mm Q-factor) - 56.5 mm (FC-M7130-1) for 157 mm OLD measurement for a 181 mm Q-factor Crankset weights: FC-M7100-1: 631 g, FC-M7120-1: 638 g, FC-M7130-1: 656 g (with 32T, 175 mm, without bottom bracket). - The 2X12 SLX HOLLOWTECH II 36-26T crankset offers the best range combined with the 10-45T cassette, maximizing the possibilities on all types of terrain and minimizing the jump between pinions.- Two sets of 2x cranks are available using a 2-bolt anchoring system on the left crank to be properly fixed in the proper place on the axle. As with the DEORE XT, FC-M7100-2 connecting rods have an OLD of 142 mm for a 48.8 mm chain line and a Q-factor of 172 mm.
