It is a semi-slick competition tire for gravel designed for Zipp´s exclusive 303 XPLR SW and S wheels to deliver the fastest wheel and tire combination on smooth or moderate gravel.It performs best on dry conditions. Today´s gravel wheel systems are slightly more robust versions of road setups – light, stiff, narrow, and aerodynamic. The problem is that riding on gravel creates detrimental vibrations that slow you down and increase fatigue over time. Furthermore, gravel tires often neutralize the aerodynamic advantages of traditionally narrow road rims.The Slick has been designed to measure 40mm on the 303 XPLR rim. The new XPLR wheel and tire system takes a completely new approach, optimizing component dimensions for the fastest setup on the market.In addition to the unparalleled aerodynamic advantages for gravel, the rim width also allows for reduced tire pressure, which helps eliminate vibrations and save more energy.The XPLR Slick offers the most aerodynamic gravel setup with 303 XPLR SW and S wheels and is best suited for racing on dry, smooth gravel.
