Shape, texture, rubber compounds every detail of the GDH has been developed to enhance control and speed. The Ergon design team worked closely with Downhill World Champion Vali Höll, and pro riders Troy Brosnan and Fabien Barel to create the pinnacle of downhill specific grips. All functional zones are 100% purpose-built for the demands of DH while delivering maximum hand relief. From the moment you grip it, you'll get a locked-in feeling connecting you with your bike. The extra soft GravityControl Rubber compound is tested by SGS Institute Fresenius.Multi-directional cushioning:- The multi-level, multidirectional texture blocks on the grip's top side provide excellent cushioning with maximum control despite the thinner rubber. The interlocking texture structure prevents collapsing under pressure and delivers progressive cushioning that is pleasantly soft yet does not bottom out under heavier hits. The asymmetrical design provides additional cushioning in the GDH Slim version with proportionally more rubber on the top side of the grip compared to the underside.Less hand fatigue. Less arm pump:- The ergonomic shape of the GDH Slim was designed in close collaboration with the fastest gravity athletes to minimize hand fatigue while enhancing control at speed on demanding terrain. Arm pump, pain and loss of strength in the hands and forearms due to excess pressure on the muscle tissue and fascia is reduced to the minimum with extra cushioning.Finger zones for maximum grip:- The aggressive finger zones on the underside of the grip maximize handling in the most intense riding situations. The four individual finger zones are angled to match the hand and arm positions of the racer – ensuring a tenacious grip on demanding trails.Lock in your hands:- The integrated ergonomic outer stop of the GDH delivers a locked-in hand feel and positions the outer zones of the hand perfectly in rapidly changing trail conditions. The inner stop is an intuitive reference for the inner side of the hand and is designed to allow precise shifting and braking. You'll always grasp your cockpit quickly and correctly, even after you've taken your hand off the handlebars.Extra-soft rubber compound:- The GravityControl rubber compound used in the GDH grip is our softest rubber compound to-date. GravityControl rubber provides the incredible damping for a consistent feel and cushion.Inner locking:- One hex screw - full protection against twisting. Thanks to a high-strength aluminium clamp, the GDH will not twist on aluminium or carbon handlebars.
