A third-generation tuning chip with the option to set a speed limit for Specialized e-bikes (including SL motors) and TCU/MasterMind TCU control units.SpeedBox 3.1 allows you to freely configure the electric speed limiter.After installation, you´ll be able to view real values such as maximum speed, average speed, daily distance, and range.How does SpeedBox 3.1 for Specialized work?.Install the SpeedBox inside the e-bike frame, beneath the TCU/MasterMind TCU.The display will show a maximum assistance speed of 50 km/h.You can save the tuning activation by switching the e-bike off and on twice.After that, the chip remains active.The maximum assistance speed can be changed again by switching modes — from TURBO down three levels and then back up three levels (TRAIL - ECO - OFF - ECO - TRAIL - TURBO).The display will then show a maximum assistance speed of 25 km/h.Each brief activation of the WALK function increases the maximum assistance speed by 5 km/h.For example, a display reading of 2.5 km/h corresponds to a 25 km/h limit, 5.0 km/h corresponds to a 50 km/h limit, etc.(on some displays, values may be rounded to whole numbers).The last displayed limit is automatically saved after five seconds of inactivity.The selected limit must be confirmed by switching the e-bike off and on twice.To check the currently set maximum assistance speed, use the + - + - button combination.If you wish to uninstall the SpeedBox from your e-bike, first set the maximum assistance speed to 25 km/h by switching three levels down and then three levels up.Then confirm by turning the e-bike off and on twice.Please note that the speed indication in the Specialized Mission Control app does not function correctly.If your e-bike has a TCU without a display or lacks a WALK button, we recommend purchasing the B.Tuning version, which is compatible with the SpeedBox App.Installation.To connect the SpeedBox to your e-bike, we use color-coded connectors equipped with a key for proper fitting, making installation very simple.You can download the instructions or watch video guides to help you install the SpeedBox yourself.Removing the product is just as easy.If you experience any connection issues, please don´t hesitate to contact us.If you want to install the SpeedBox on a new bike, you must first ride at least 10 kilometers before the first activation.Legal notice.Please note that using modified e-bikes on public roads or infrastructure may violate the laws of some countries.The manufacturer is not responsible for any damage resulting from the use of SpeedBox products.E-bikes equipped with SpeedBox products must not be used on public roads, bike paths, or public areas.They may only be used on private property and under your own responsibility.Using SpeedBox products may void your e-bike´s warranty.We recommend using additional protective gear and safety measures to avoid injury.
