We use two types of systems:Sliding system: - This is an aluminium slide through which the helmet straps run, which can easily be moved and stays in place due to resistance.Locking system: - On this aluminium slide, the buckle can be opened to slide the divider upwards or downwards after which you can close the buckle to secure its position.EN-1078:- Specifies requirements and test methods for bicycle helmets in Europe. It covers helmet construction including the field of vision, shock-absorbing properties, retention system properties including chin strap and fastening devices, as well as marking and information.Internal structure:- Some helmets contain an internal structure inside the EPS foam, mostly made of nylon material. Basic systems Some of our helmets come with a basic retention system that is adjustable in height and has padding on the back of the head. These helmets are the Boogy (BHE-37), Nanga (BHE-54), Grid (BHE-161/161ECO), Sonar (BHE-171), and the Hero (BHE-172).The shell construction describes the type of material that is used and how the shell and the EPS foam are constructed:Hardshell (ABS):- Hardshell helmets have an ABS shell. In this construction, the ABS shell and the EPS foam are glued together. The advantage of an ABS shell is that it is very durable and shockproof due to the thickness of this shell. However, it is also a little heavier.Infusion:- Infusion helmets are, just like In-mold helmets, made in a production process where the shell and the foam are melted together with the use of heat and pressure. However, the shell of an Infusion helmet is made of PVC and is always ´single-shell´. It consists of one component.In-mold:- In-mold means that the shell and the foam are made in a production process where they are fused together by heat and pressure. We make a distinction between single and multi-shell in-mold helmets. Single-shell helmets are made with one shell that covers the entire helmet. Multi-shell is found in the more expensive segment where the helmets are made with multiple shell parts. This has advantages in terms of both strength and design.Straps:- The straps of a helmet are important for both safety as comfort. All the helmets straps used in our helmets have a nice touch on the skin. The straps used in the more high end helmets have an even softer feeling and are more lightweight. This ensures maximum comfort and safety.Easy adjustable strap dividers:- Tangled straps are now a thing of the past. Our specially developed helmet strap dividers keep the straps neatly in place. They guide the straps through the retention system and along the head for a comfortable fit. Make sure the helmet strap divider always sits neatly under your ear for the best experience and the neatest finish of the helmet straps.MIPS:- The Multi-directional Impact Protection System (MIPS) adds protection against rotational motion transmitted to the brain from angled impacts to the head. Rotational motion is a combination of rotational energy and forces from angular acceleration that both affect the brain and increase the risk of minor and severe brain injuries. The MIPS protection system has been proven to reduce rotational motion when implemented in a helmet by redirecting energies and forces otherwise transmitted to the brain.
