A patent has been applied for for the technology used on this product.Marwi Group Europe boss Martin Vogt added: The SP-880 pedal is equipped on both sides with new non-slip surfaces of patented sand block material. These special surfaces are characterized by strong wear resistance and high water resistance. They are connected to the robust polypropylene central housing using patented technology. The pedal is specially designed for use on e-bikes, city and travel bikes. What Vogt also notes: according to various laboratory tests, the sand block layer does not release from the polypropylene pedal.And: standard pedals with sandpaper start to wear after just 20 cycles.
