The updated V4 caliper uses hybrid-style stainless steel pistons with a phenolic insert that allows for smoother movement and less maintenance, while also being able to handle high temperatures without heat transfer during extreme use.Features:- 30% increase in stopping power compared to a Tech 3.- Redesigned lever design with a more ergonomic shape geared towards achieving a linear relationship between brake pressure and lever force, making modulation more intuitive.- Articulated clamp that reduces weight and improves ergonomics.- Greater integration with the shifter for a better fit.- Adjustment of reach and tension without tools.- Hybrid piston design- Caliper CNC machined from one piece.- Clamps compatible with a greater number of current Sram and Shimano gears.- Postmount mounting options.To consider:- The V4 caliper is not compatible with all 180mm Direct Mount forks due to the large piston design and variation in mounting positions. We recommend using the V4 caliper with the correct adapter and a 200mm disc in this application.- The V4 caliper is not compatible with the 2021 model Commencal Supreme DH 200mm Direct Post mount frame.
