Ridgeback MX27.527.5″ Wheels11.3kg11 years upwards144cm to 162cm rider heightThe MX27.5 — Big Bike Energy, Unbeatable ValueThe MX27.5 is designed to be the ultimate mix of ability and value for young adult riders — and it delivers on every front! Suitable for riders aged 11 and upwards up to 162cm tall, the MX27.5 bridges the gap between kids bike and full adult bike with style, confidence and a whole lot of fun.Packed with all the easy-ride features you know and love from our smaller bikes, the MX27.5 takes things up a notch with full-size 27.5″ wheels — because this really is a small adult's bike more than a children's bike. A fully adjustable fit means it grows with your rider, making it a brilliant long-term investment for miles of adventures ahead.Designed for Young Riders:Easy-Pedal Cranks — Our pedal cranks are ergonomically correct, proportional to the child's leg length. They also place the pedals closer to the bike's centre so that children can pedal as smoothly and naturally as possible.Smaller Grips — Our handlebars and grips are narrower diameter so they fit small hands better, for confidence and control as well as better ability to reach the brakes safely.Better Brakes — Brake levers are closer to the bars and adjustable for reach to suit smaller hands, and work perfectly with our smaller diameter grips.Lowered Frames — Our frames are lower where it counts, making it easier to get on and off and increasing clearance for greater confidence.Designed for Parents:Supporting Accessory Range — For gifts, customisation or just getting co-ordinated!Transferable warranty — Our lifetime frame and fork warranty and 2-year parts warranty is transferrable, supporting service and re-sale value. Because these bikes are made to last.Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is the MX27.5 weight vs Dimension 27.5 weight? The MX27.5 weighs 11.3kg, compared to 10.7kg for the Dimension 27.5 — a difference of 0.6kg. Both are significantly lighter than budget steel-framed bikes of the same size, which typically weigh 12.5-13kg or more. What are the parts differences between the MX27.5 and the Dimension 27.5?The MX27.5 uses a steel fork and some lower cost parts such as Microshift shifters instead of Shimano and lower cost hubs and tyres. This gets a lower price than the Dimension 27.5. The fit and comfort details are the same between the models as this is the most important aspect in children riding confidently, once the bike is in the right weigh ranges (as they are). | Freewheel Product
