The integrated 800Wh Bosch PowerTube battery is sleekly hidden in the downtube, with the option to add a 250Wh PowerMore range extender for longer rides.At the heart of the bike is Bosch’s Performance Line CX motor, producing up to 120Nm of torque with smooth, natural-feeling power delivery. It’s controlled via the Bosch Smart System, giving riders a connected e-MTB experience with multiple modes, range management and compatibility with future updates.Up front, the RockShox Recon Silver RL fork offers 120mm of tunable air suspension, helping maintain comfort and control on rough tracks and trails. SRAM’s Eagle 90 Transmission 12-speed drivetrain provides reliable shifting under load and a huge 10–52T gear range for both steep climbs and fast descents.Braking is handled by Magura’s Louise 4-piston hydraulic disc system with 203mm rotors, giving strong, predictable stopping power even on demanding terrain. The ACID Pro 30 wheelset is tubeless-ready and paired with 2.6” Schwalbe Smart Sam tyres for grip, comfort and rolling speed across mixed conditions.A Cube dropper post comes fitted as standard, allowing quick on-the-fly saddle adjustment, while internal cable routing keeps the frame looking clean. With Bosch’s proven drive system and Cube’s attention to detail, it’s a hardtail e-MTB that’s ready to go wherever curiosity leads.Bosch Performance Update 2.0Bosch have dropped a fresh update for the Performance Line CX and CX-R motors, and it’s a big one for riders who want more punch on the trails. The update is available for the latest generation motors with the codes BDU384Y and BDU386Y, and it can be installed straight from the Bosch eBike Flow app. Nice and easy.Once you’ve downloaded Performance Update 2.0, you can crank the motor up to a huge 120 Nm of torque, with up to 600% support and 750 watts of peak power. Bosch have also tweaked things so the motor can hold that power for longer when the riding conditions allow.The 600% support figure only kicks in between 0 and 15 km/h, so it’s all about helping you power up steep climbs and tricky sections. The maximum assisted speed stays the same at 25 km/h.As with previous Bosch updates, you can still customise the motor settings in the app to suit your riding style. Whether you want maximum power for steep tech climbs or a more natural feel on longer rides, you can dial it in how you like it.Performance Update 2.0 is available for all CX Gen 5 and CX-R Gen 5 motors. It also brings Extended Boost (Bosch Overrun) and support for the new drivetrain tensioner system, which helps reduce lag when you get back on the pedals. Bosch are also adding more features and connectivity options, including Garmin integration and new power supply options.One thing worth keeping in mind — more power means more stress on drivetrain components, so increased wear is expected over time.
