The Shimano Deore XT shifters are Dyna-Sys 10 speed shifters which feature Vivid indexing, Multi and 2-Way release to deliver more performance than you ever thought possible. Light to the touch, the Vivid Indexing ensures positive, crisp shifts by making sure there's a constant amount of shift lever force across all the ten sprockets. Making smooth shifting incredibly ease, the Multi Release that these Shimano shifters boast means that you can change multiple gears with one fell swoop, making shifting super quick, while the 2-Way release design means that the upper level still performs the same shift function but it can now swing in either direction allowing it to be released by the thumb or index finger. These nifty gear shifters feature a one piece lower alloy thumb release lever to increase their durability as well as deliver sharp, precise shifts. The multi-bearing design uses two ball bearing units so you get low-friction and reliable shifting action. Some nice little touches on these MTB shifters include the raised optical gear display so you can instantly tell what gear you're in, while the multi position adjustable handlebar clamp delivers custom lever positioning to where's most comfortable and convenient for you!
