The Shimano R550 is an SPD-SL road pedal for entry level use, now updated from the previous PD-R540 with a lightweight composite body. They are easy to clip into and release but provide a stable fit for maximum power transfer to the pedals. Adjustment can be made for the release tension, allowing you to get used to the pedals and gradually raise the tension as you go. The wider cleat and binding mechanism combined with a wide pedal platform offers improved foot/pedal stability and better shoe/pedal contact than traditional SPD systems. The R550 pedals feature a low profile platform with an open design for easy access and cleat adjustments, all built around a low maintenance sealed cartridge axle unit.Weight: 310g pairSupplied With Shimano SH11 Cleats (3° Float)
