So opening an e-bike shop was an easy decision. I handle the day to day operations at The Cycle Company and I’m usually to be found in the shop, chatting about e-bikes and the stunning trails in the area (which I get out on as often as possible). My enjoyment of cycling stems from 13 glorious years living in Cape Town and riding the stunning coast roads there, which I will tell you about at any opportunity – be warned. Ed from The Cycle Company MEET ED (Director) Although I am not in the shop as much as Duncan or Tom due to a far less glamorous financial role, I’m pretty sure I match them on a love of cycling. I am a huge fan of all types of riding – gravel bikes, mountain bikes or road riding and I’m shamelessly in to kit and colour matching! I’m not sure what the shop and brand would look like without my involvement…. Like the other two, I live locally with a young family and really want to see fewer cars on the roads and way more bikes, making the area we live a safer and greener place to be. Duncan from The Cycle Company MEET DUNCAN (Director) Growing up in the Lake District I was lucky enough to be able to spend many hours cycling around the beautiful passes and lanes of the Lakes. The many miles and strains put on the bikes also meant I had to get proficient at fixing them! Now living at the end of the Southdown's and just half an hours drive from the New Forest there's plenty of opportunity to get out with my mates Tom and Ed. It was whilst out biking that the three of us came up with the idea of selling E-bikes. We can see what brilliant potential they have, how they make biking much more accessible for many people, and how environmentally friendly they can be as a mode of transport.
